I love being outside walking with my wife & our dog. We try to visit the coast whenever we can, enjoying the charming harbour towns, meandering through their vibrant streets & nearby coastal paths. A good ramble on the hills & in nearby woodland, or when we're local, hit the canal towpaths. We love to be outdoors.
Being by our beautiful coasts always inspires me, the sights, sounds & sensations...
It has a way to wash away all the stress modern life throws at us & is captivating tome as an artist as I'm sure it is to many others who enjoy the outdoors.
I love to depict coastal scenes especially & paint them in a colourful, whimsical manner, I want people to smile when they look at my art =).

About James
James is a Stourbridge, UK based artist who works in a colourful watercolour style depicting mainly coastal scenes.
He takes inspiration, forming ideas on new artworks when taking frequent walks with his wife & dog, enjoying nature, no matter the season.
After a creative break, during the lockdown he returned to painting for pleasure. In 2022 a change in work circumstance gave him the opportunity to paint full time & make room for a permanent home studio space to be creative in.
He is excited at reawakening his passion, eager to experiment with new techniques in watercolour and other mediums.
